Talk to someone

Wrap a rubber band loosely around your wrist and snap it against your skin

Hold some ice cubes in your mouth for as long as you can stand it

Make a list of your feelings

Hold your arms out in front of you for as long as you can bear it

Tear up magazines: try doing it in one go

Take a cold bath

Go for a brisk walk or run, swim or lift weights

Try relaxation breathing techniques

Punch or kick something that won't hurt you or it

Listen to music.  Turn up the volume if it helps - but don't be a nuisance

Draw a picture of the wound you want to create

Squeeze the inside of your nose between your nostrils with your thumb and finger

Use a red marker on your skin if you feel the need to see blood

Eat hot food or food with very strong flavours eg hot peppers, ginger, lemon, etc.

Make a picture or rag doll of the person you are angry at and cut it, tear it or smack it as much as you like

Cut up or rip old clothes

the feeling is temporary and will pass
